“I applied to KKA&J because I wanted a broader view of accounting than what I could get in a larger firm,” explained Lumey. “I enjoy the family atmosphere in the office and how everyone knows and cares for each other. It makes for a good working environment.”

Lumey came to the United States with her parents from Cuba in 1999. She graduated Reseda High School and speaks fluent Spanish. “My father is an auditor and I just naturally have always had a love for math and numbers,” explained Lumey when discussing her decision to enter the accounting field.

While away from the office, Lumey loves to read, dance and learn about science and animals.
