Senior Partner David F. King is a Senior Partner of King, King, Alleman & Jensen and founding partner of the firm. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Accounting from Brigham Young University in May 1967, he joined the firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in Los Angeles, where he specialized in taxation. In 1973, David returned to Burbank where he formed a partnership with a local practitioner, which became the foundation of King, King, Alleman & Jensen Accountancy Corporation. He served as managing partner of KKA&J from 1984 until 2003. David works in all facets of public accounting. He has gained a wealth of valuable experience over the years and stays current on income tax laws through continuing education. David assists clients with the proper planning of their long-term and short-term financial goals. His professional associations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), and the Illinois CPA Society. David holds CPA licenses in both California and Illinois. “The most rewarding aspect of my work is the close relationships I’ve built over the years with clients, many who have become good friends,” said David. “Emphasis in client service and technical quality, while making the necessary investments in staff and resources, continues to be a trademark of the ongoing effort the firm makes to meet the needs of clients.” Raised in Burbank, California, he graduated Burbank High School in 1960 before attending Brigham Young University. While in college, David interrupted his studies for two and one-half years to serve his church in the Netherlands. David is a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Burbank and served as President of the organization in 1984. As a youth, David earned his Eagle Scout Award and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award in 1989 by the Verdugo Hills Council for his service as an adult leader in the Boys Scouts of America. He served as President of the Verdugo Hills Council in 2001. Traveling to Burbank several times a year, David actively serves KKA&J clients from his home in Nauvoo, Illinois, where he and his wife, Joyce, now live. In addition to his accounting career, he is committed to family, church, and community affairs. David and Joyce are the proud parents of six children and four grandchildren |
